Today was an unusual day. Yesterday night rains and thunderstorm hit Vrindavan. Today at starting around 4:00 p.m. repeated hailstorm hit all around till 6 p.m. Hailstone were about 3-4 inch diameter and 200 grams in weight. I have heard that some hailstones were observed of 1 Kg. But our Ashram’s program of donation of daily utilities and dakshina to about 4000Vrindavan widows went smoothly with the grace of Shri Radha Krishna & Shri Maharajji.
Now coming to the topic about the grace of Guru on his disciples.
Usually our minds are irresponsible, sometimes apparent and sometimes in very subtle manner. We are so bound by our desires, addictions & passions that we ignore the repercussions on ours as well as others body and mind and wickedness of our actions. Plus we do not believe that our deeds rebound on us, all good and bad, in form of good times and on the other hand diseases, infirmities, losses and hell.
Moreover, it is our experience that Unbridled desires when fulfiled enhance lust and when unfulfilled result into greed for more. This is sure recipe for disaster.
At the same time, we are aware that whatever good we are getting is by some good luck and that may not last long. Means we do not believe that we create every situation by our past deeds. So we try to secure our happiness by fortifying against enemies, sometimes going ridiculous length by hanging black face on beautiful building, wearing charms, going to places of worship and try to maintain good relationship with the people who we think can help us in need but at the same time avoid people who are in need. We make relations all around but we also know that the same relation who claim sweets on our success as of right but pounce upon our failures like vultures. Rarely someone offers sweet solace on our failure.
The Guru makes our fortified against all above by making our minds strong and responsible. Strong by making us strong willed. But how the Guru makes our minds responsible? Discussion shall continue but first let us ponder over an unusual Pada of Shri Kripaluji Maharaj from “Prem Ras Madira.”
